Hello! I've heard a lot of the trekking in Chiang Mai (2 nights in villages, elephant riding, waterfalls, bamboo rafting, long neck, golden triangle).
Checking rates on the Internet is super expensive! does anyone know how this can be done without paying so much?
Thanks!
Lucia

Several things come to mind:
1/. what is expensive?
expensive is a value judgement relative to income.
2/. what is your time frame?
to give advice we need to know YOUR time frame
3/. where are you going other than Chiang Mai ?
there are some good options elsewhere
4/. what research have you already done on Travelfish?
this helps others to help you: see below also

One thing to remember is that unlike the west, Asian firms see the internet as a way to (1) advertise the company and its product, and (2) sell the product at the very best rate.
So, if you book when you are in Chiang Mai you can get a much better rate. But, if you want peace of mind by booking on the 'net, you are going to pay top dollar.
