Hi, I arrive in Bangkok from Australia around midnight, were is somewhere close by and cheap that will have rooms avaliable rather than booking ahead??

Hi tuckere,
The heart of Bangkok is only 30 minutes away by taxi - so if you were to head into the Khao San Rd area, there's no shortage of places to stay - while many of the better places do take reservations in advance, unless you're arriving in peak season you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a room
