Hiya,
There's three of us heading to the Full moon party on the 4th of Sept this year and I was wondering if it would be silly not to pre-book somewhere??
Its the last week of our 4 week trip in Thailand so going for a bit of a party and relaxing week!!
We're planning on heading to Koh Phangan on the 2nd of Sept or so and then staying for a few days.
One of my friends says that there's no point booking a place and that it'll be fine!! (she's never been to Thailand though)!

The simple answer is whether you like living on the beach.
The better answer is that even now, there may not be much OK accommodation left, so get to and get 'booked'.
Cheers

Thanks a million :D
Just needed someone else to confirm!!
Does anybody have any suggestions for somewhere nice?
We have a budget of max. 20 euro each a night (i.e. €60 for a triple room/ 2800 baht a night)
Thanks :D

Your questions have been asked before.
Travelfish did a feature of the full moon party, go read at:
http://www.travelfish.org/feature/45
It has also done several related stories about accommodation in the area. Go check the list of stories:

As for accommodation, have you checked the Travelfish guide/s? At:
