I was thinking of trying to catch Ang Thong National Park on my upcoming trip to Thailand. I was wondering if it is possible to get tours of Ang Thong from Koh Tao. Everything that I have seen so far references getting Tours from Koh Samui but we were planning on staying on Koh Tao.
Second, I was looking for some general feedback on Ang Thong. Is it worth the trip?
Thanks in advance for any help.
John

Hi John,
Welcome to Travelfish!
Virtually all the tours leave from Ko Samui because that is the closest port to the park, and as the tours leave early in the morning, you can't head down from Ko Tao same day to join one from there, rather you'd need to overnight on Ko Samui first.
The park is very pretty -- not spectacular and, if you've got a spare day it is worth having a look at. The snorkelling is better on Ko Tao, but the scenery, particularly the lake, is very pretty.
