After travelling through bangkok and Laos, my boyfirend and I plan to be in Koh Chang on 26 Dec to 2nd Jan. All websites seem to offer only resort accomodation at about 3000bht per night. Tried a couple of resorts but told they were booked out. Any ideas for other places to search for accom. Thinking ideally bungalow type accomodation pref with air con. Any other suggestions about island apart ftrom Koh Chang - would like to be in the general vicinity though far away from the madding crowds of koh samui etc

you could try klong phrao beach on koh chang-have a look on the travelfish site- koh wai has no aircon acc., but koh mak does, as well as koh kuud.
