Hi,
I just found the following on travelfish reviews and was hoping anyone that is currently in ko phangan or going there soon could confirm if this is happening?!
"Starting in september 2006 Baan Panburi will move the Beachfront bures up on the mountain behind the resort and build new very expensive family bungalows (10000 bath ?) and a pool"
Bit worried as I have booked a beachfront bure for December and dont really want to be behind the resort in my 'beachfront' bure or alternatively paying ALOT more baht!!!

Hi Emjay,
Have you tried contacting Baan Panburi to ask them?
If you take a look at their reservations page here you'll see some of their rooms are no longer available from Dec 15 onwards, so I'd say that means they've gone the way of the dodo -- but the beachfront bures are still listed...
