Not sure if this is a stupid question (this is my first trip to Thailand, indeed my first trip overseas anywhere!) but here goes:
My plane gets into Bangkok at a bit after 11pm; I'm heading in to the Khao San Road area to stay and just wondering if I'll have any difficulty finding a hostel where I'll get in alright around midnight or thereabouts (assuming the flight comes in on time)?
I'm looking to book the first few nights accom in advance, so any suggestions of any particular places that are known to keep their doors open late into the night would also be greatly appreciated.

Also I'm going to be on my own, and looking at places for around 300 baht per night

Located in:
This place isn't on, or near, Khao San Road , but it is very close to the airport (around 250 baht taxi ride), open late, and my friends and I were treated very well the whole time we stayed there - even when we arrived around 4am. It's called Sukhumvit On Nut Guesthouse:

They just revamped their website, but they are also listed on HostelWorld, which is what we booked it through. Food is great, and the place is near the SkyTrain - just at the final stop. So if you really want to be in the tourist ghetto, it might not be for you, but otherwise the place is fantastic, and there's not a tout around. It's also located near some of the late-night craziness, Nana & Soi Cowboy.
Hope that helps, or so Khao San Road suggestions come rolling for you...
