Hello,
I'll be in Phuket for a few days next week and was hoping someone might be able to suggest a place to stay. We're hoping for something on the beach thats still affordable (around $10-$15 a night), if such a thing still exists on Phuket.. We've been able to find just that in Ko Chang, and love it here, but hope to find something similiar down in Phuket. If someone could suggest a location or even the best beach to start searching at it would be appreciated! Thanks much..
If you're OK with something quite rustic and isolated (you pretty much need your own motorbike to stay here), check this one out -- it is actually ON the beach:
Yah, same place. Website says 200 for camping, huts from 500B. It's a nice place, it feels nothing like the rest of Phuket. No beach-side Starbucks here!

$10 - $15 is very, very low for Phuket. November 1 also means the beginning of high season.
My best suggestion for cheap and near the beach (sorry, gotta spend the big big bucks for *on* the beach in Phuket) is Kamala Beach, Phuket.
