Any advice whether I need to get reservations for a room on Ko Samet. I am interested in Vong Duern Villa. We will be there in January, Monday thru Wednesday or Thursday. Thanks

There are so many hotels there that you can almost always just walk in a nd find a room, the exceptions being songkran and new year, try the new barbados bungalows on the road down from the ferry to the beach, beautiful new resort small rooms but only 1,200TB a night.

Mid week should be ok -- perhaps give them a call once you're in Bangkok to check on availability.
