Hi - could anyone advise on getting from Ayatthuya to Bangkok (Don Meung)in the morning in time to catch a 10.50 a.m. flight? I've looked at the train timetable and there is a train at 07.21 a.m. and then not again until after 12.00 noon - am travelling with 3 kids so would rather not have to leave so early and hang about the airport if at all possible. Any alternatives would be really appreciated. Thanks.
I'm afraid i don't have specifics but i think there are very regular buses between Ayutthaya and Bangkok. They go to the North Bus station - Mochit station? - from here you could make your way to the airport, although, i am unsure how far apart the two are.
hi I had to do the same trip and just grabbed a mini van from the centre of Ayutthya that will drop you of at the victory monument.About a 2 hr trip so early start then probably a taxi to Don Muang.Ask where your atying at and they will have you dropped off where the minivans leave. Was very simple
Mini van is probably the way to go.If you're really lucky and don't mind paying you may be able to get a taxi. There's no taxis in Ayutthya but you quite often see them there after they've taken a fare from Bangkok.
