The girlfriend and I will find ourselves in Thailand in Mid-late September in the summer due to work/uni time constraints. I know this is not the time for sun kissed beaches but does anyone have experience of a relaxing beach region with half decent weather? Had a look at the weather pages but wasnt too sure how the rainfall is going to mount up ie short storms then clear skies or all day downpours!
Does not necessarily have to be in thailand, anywhere in SE. Asia would be mega appreciated!

Hi Martin,
My partner and I spent August and September travelling Thailand and experienced very good whether, particularly in the south where we spent the last week or two around Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. I don’t know if we were just lucky but we experienced lots of sunshine and blue sky, and the rain wasn’t a problem at all. When it did rain it was only ever for a short period of time, usually only between 5-30 minutes and only a few times a day. I guess we may have just been lucky as others may have had worse experiences, but rain really wasn’t a problem for us and we got ample beach time in (and we are beach bums).
