Hi,
What is better, hiring a car to do the 4hour drive from Chiang Mai to Soppong or just taking the minivan?
If you hire a car, how does it work? do you leave the car in Soppong and then just get another one back to C/M. Like a one-way thing. Or do you have to pay for the entire time you're in Soppong?
Does anyone have prices/places for renting a car in Chiang Mai?
thanks.

can't comment on the car hire, but we took a minivan, 250 TB per person, 4 hours drive, you don't need to worry about anything but watch the scenery, would recommend minivan

Thank you boleslav,
Where did you take the minivan from in Chiang Mai?
Was everybody crammed into the minivan or was it reasonably comfortable?
What times does the minivan operate?
Do we have to book ahead or just go to the minivan and jump in?
Sorry for all the question. Appreciate the feedback!
Cheers

it did not feel cramped in the minivan, we actually requested to sit next to the driver for the better views
we wanted to make sure we get the seats so we did buy the tickets day in advance, the company's name is PREM PRACHA, their phone number is 053-684100, 053-064 307
they depart from the Chiang Mai bus station
There are several departures, I believe that the first one is at 6:30 or 7:30am, and the last one at 2pm
