We'll be flying into BKK and staying for 4-5 days before flying out to Luang Prabang. Should I buy a flight online (Bangkok Airways or Laos Airlines)for peace of mind that we'll get the date and time we want? Or should we wait until we get to BKK and shop around then for a cheaper flight? Will be taking the flight in late Feb, busy season I presume....

Being busy season, I'd buy ahead of time if possible -- take a look at Bangkok Airways Discovery Airway pass -- it's a great deal and you can only buy it outside the reason.
