Hello
We will be ending our trip to Thailand with 6 days on Koh Chang but before flying back to Australia on 5 March we would like to spend 4/5 days in the north-east ( visit Khao Yai National Park, ruins at Phanam Rung etc ). Would the best plan be to catch a bus from Trat to Rayong and then a connecting bus to say Khorat ? Is there another more direct or easier route to head north ?
Any advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks.
You should be able to get a bus from Trat either direct to Khorat, or at worst to Chanthaburi from where you can get a bus to Khorat. From Khorat it is also worth heading further north to Phimai -- there is a beautiful Khmer sanctuary there.
