Hi all,
We are in Bangkok right now and are looking to head out of the city as soon as possible. We had planned to go to Chang Mai next but we have heard reports of recent monsoon that hit China that has caused flooding in the areas surrounding Chang Mai. Is there anyone there right now that can tell us whether or not it is worth it and safe to continue with our plan to head to Chang Mai? Any information is welcome!

I've been in the north of Thailand (Chiang Mai, Pai...) since june and heard this story of flood too many times. OK, today, like almost every day, it's raining in Chiang Mai but it never last too long and there's NO floods at all so don't worry, you can come. I'm sure you'll love the north.
Enjoy your trip.
