Hello
Has anyone had any experience of driving in Thailand ? We were thinking of maybe renting a car in Khorat ( budget permitting ) and wandering around Isaan for 4/5 days. We read that driving in Thailand is extremely dangerous and some say don't even consider it. Any advice would be welcomed

It's fine to drive in Thailand. Road network is excellent. Thai's tend to drive fast and drink driving isn't really policed, but otherwise it is fine -- if it is in your budget, go for it.
