Couple planning six months in Thailand - how much money, where to go, etc.

    Hi there,

    My boyfriend and I are planning to spend six months in Thailand, leaving this June.
    Will €6000 be enough for the six months between us - we are planning to go on the cheap?
    Also, any suggestions on open ended flights from Ireland?
    Finally, any particular place a young couple should start?

    I go on the cheap, stay budget but not dumps, eat cheap but well, move on often, drink a fair bit of booze but don't party hard - I tend to spend around 1000 to 1200 baht a day. A couple sharing accommodation will not double this.
