I'm wanting to get from the Phuket area to Siem Reap in a few weeks time. Is it possible to fly direct from Phuket to Siem Reap? Or only from Bangkok?
Either way, would anyone know the approx. price of an airfair - one way. In Australian Dollars if possible?

I think only Bangkok Airways flys HKT - REP direct A$300 and BKK - REP A$192. A cheaper option is to fly BKK - PHP with AirAsia but then you still have 8 hours overland to Siem Reap. They quote 755 baht (A$26) but expect to pay about the same again in taxes and charges. How many flights are you doing - if 3 or more check out the Discovery Airpass from BangkokAirways.

Hi tuckere,
Look into Airasia from Bangkok to Siem Reap and either Air Asia or Nok Air from Phuket to Bangkok.
You're best to check the websites yourself to get a fare as the fares vary tremendously depending on day, month etc.
marian - 8 hours from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap?? maybe by oxcart ;-) more like four hours between the two (by bus)
