Passenger ferry Lanta

    Does anyone know if there is a cheap PUBLIC passenger ferry from Ko Lanta to Phi Phi and then to Phuket or are all the boats privately owned?

    Um, I'm sure all the ferries are owned by private companies. But I don't know of any government owned ferries in Thailand.
    Thing is all those Lanta ferries are open to the public. Ferries don't have the stigma of some of Thailand's private bus companies.

    Thanks, found one for 700 but was quoted as much as 850
