I am having the worst time finding a room in Sukhothai on Nov 5th and 6th. If I get a hotel in Phitansoluk will there be transportation avaiable to get back to the hotel after the festival is over on the night of the 5th? Also is there anywhere we can store our luggage during the festival? We are arriving in Sukhothai on Nov 5th at 6:00 pm!

Hi corndoggy,
Welcome to Travelfish!
You may want to give this thread a read -- seems like you're not the only one in this situation -- perhaps you could co-ordinate transport with some of the others?!
As for leaving your gear somewhere -- if you don't have a room you may be able to arrange something at one of the guesthouses upon arrival just for them to keep an eye on your stuff...

I've just added in an accommodation feed to the Sukhothai and Phitsanulok sections that lists the hotels that can be booked through our partner Sawasdee -- it is important to note these are not the be all and end all as most guesthouses don't do reservations this way, but if you're getting desperate it may be worth trying some of them -- they're mostly over 1,000B a night.
You can see the listings via the links below: (you'll need to scroll down to find the listings for Phitsanulok and Sukhothai)
Sukhothai
Phitsanulok
Good luck!
I've cross-posted this to the other Sukhothai thread)

Does anyone know what my transportation options are for getting from Phitsanulok to Sukhothai and back in the middle of the night?
