Which hotel closest to Bangkok's train station would you recommend?

    Good day all,

    I'll be staying in Bangkok (on this particular trip) for one night only. Arriving in by the airport and will be getting the train to Surat Thani very early the next day.

    Would be handy to stay close (if not next) to the Train Station.

    If there's a hotel you'd recommend, I'd be delighted to hear your choice and why.

    It depends entirely on your budget. The Bangkok Centre Hotel @ around 1200 baht is next door to Hua Lampong.

    Up to the gaggle of riverside 5 star places, all within a kilometre of the station.
