Cheerful Charlie`s English Fish and Chips Restaurant - City Centre, Chiang Mai, Thailand

If you are looking for a nice change, a taste of England in the heart of Northern Thailand, than visit Cheerful Charlie`s traditional English Fish and Chips Restaurant in Chiang Mai

Charlie hasn't gone quite as far as wrapping his scrumptious fish suppers in old newspapers as they used to do in past England, although he is offering delicious and authentic real classic English style fish and chips.

The fish is soft, succulent, wrapped in a batter that has obviously been prepared by a man who knows his stuff (Charlie's family had 10 chippies in the north west of England).

The chips are British style: thick cut; the fish is boneless - sprinkle over a load of malt vinegar and serve with a portion of mushy peas, a slice of bread and butter and you are treated to a blast from the past and a taste from the venues of traditional English fare.

At Charlie's they also serve other Brit favourites such as fat pork sausages, mushy peas, baked beans, eggs and sandwiches. But come on, it's got to be fish and chips when you visit Charlie’s. They also serve beer, wine and spirits. Food is eat in or take away.
