We are travelling with 3 children ages 17, 14,10 in April to koh Samet looking for mid range accomodation and reccomendations ?

To get you started, check out the listing for Samed Villa here on Travelfish. It is located within the Ao Phai section of the island. Samed Villa gets good reviews, and is well located for walking to several other nearby beaches or even up into town.
