Apparently, this is the last season for Lazy Days, one of the long-timers of Koh Mak. The resort has been sold and has a date with the dozer. Coming soon ... big, expensive, Thai-style concrete huts!
It's true that it isn't the best managed place, and it doesn't come close to being luxurious, but it is inexpensive, quiet and on a pretty good stretch of beach.
Been nice knowing ya! RIP! One more nice spot goes the way of the Do Do.
