we discovered a great guesthouse near KSR. its called "at Home guest house" and its address is 117 Tanao Road. It is very clean is reasonably priced. I've stayed there 3 times while backpacking and having a rest stop in Bangkok. It is in the street behind Burger King, at the end of KSR.

It is clean and well priced, until you, well..have to buy your own toilet paper, soap and need a powerpoint to charge your camera and phone and mp3 player! There's much better and just as clean options wihich also provide FREE toilet paper, complimentary water, soap and even sometimes shampoo as well as all the electricity you need to keep you going!
