Riddim Shack is a reggae bar serving Caribbean food, cocktails, beer and shisha (the only hooker you'll get here!)
It is the only real reggae bar on the beautiful island of Koh Chang, spinning tunes and serving food from 12 noon to when we're done, sometimes still partying at dawn!! It is run by David from Brighton, England. Riddim Shack was born in November 2011, and was a dream that started many years ago.

Thai islands are overdone with Reggae bars. I don't get it, it's Thailand not the Caribbean. Seems so tryhard and out of place. One of the reasons I loved Chang was it was away from all that bs on other islands and now it's heading down the same repetitive path.

With all due respect all Riddim Shack is trying to do is offer an alternative. There are no reggae bars in Thailand cooking caribbean food, or playing music that is not just Bob Marley, although without Bob we wouldn't be listening to as mush reggae as we do, he was and still is a massive influence.
There is no repetition here with 150,000 reggae songs!

Reggae music isn't worth the time of day unless it's Marley but his music has been done to death.

    Hey Riddim,

I'm not sure what you meant by "the only hooker you'll get here". Did you mean hookah, as it middle-east style water pipe?

Just keep in mind that reggae attends to attract young people who want to have fun, which as you can see doesn't include everyone who posts on this site. Good luck to you. I hope your dream turns out the way you planned. Cheers.

Young people are into hip hop not reggae. Reggae is old school.

But unless you're working out at the gym, it beats hip hop.

I don't do Islands so... won't be making it. But the place sounds OK to me. I can hit a Thai place anytime.

Hip hop is better though. Especially for fighting workouts. We use it in my studio.
