For a trip through Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and perhaps Vietnam, how essential is it to get vaccinations for Thyhoid/Collera and Hepatitis A? Is it important I come equiped with malaria pills?

Cholera is not usually recommended for SE Asia. The others are, together with Hep B, and Japanese Encephalitis. As for malaria medication, it depends on where you plan to go. But, regardless, it is best to check with a travel clinic in your area several months before leaving rather than ask on a board like this. This is not the place to come to for medical advice.

    Regards

While traveling in Cambodia and Vietnam for 5wks, I took vaccinations for Hep A and typhoid. I took malaria tablets. You should, however, consult your local travel clinic for more accurate medical advice.
