Description: Ban Thai Tha Bo is a lovely guest house complex a few minutes outside Tha Bo, on the way to Si Chiangmai. It is about half an hour's drive from border town Nong Khai, known because of "the bridge border" to Laos. It is a charming, simple complex of three traditionally styled wood buildings with gardens, located on the banks of the Kheuan Huay Mong River, 500 meters away from the mighty Mekong. One can gaze across the vegetable fields from the wide veranda of the main building at Ban Thai to the river. Flowers, birds and butterflies are profuse. There are four resident cats.

The guesthouse offers 6 rooms distinguished by the typical simplicity and sobriety of the place.

• Two rooms with A/C, a double-bed and a private veranda: 900 Baht per room
• Four rooms with fan, a double-bed or twin-bed: 550 Baht per room
• Additional single bed for child: 100 Baht
