Thai islands on Mohammad's birthday!

    I'm planning on being in the southwest Thai islands (Ko Maak, Ko Libong, Ko Lipe, etc) in mid-February, and have discovered Malaysia celebrates Mohammad's birthday then. Does anyone know the impact of Malysian's vacationing in Thailand at that time? And how impacted is transportation from there on to KL?
