Description: Phichet Yangdiao has a new and clean guesthouse northwest of Ubon Ratchathani's city centre (Near Ratchathani Rajabhat University, and the bus terminal). He has 5 rooms all with big beds (size: double, big enough for a couple to stay), one with AC the rest with fans, for now. There are two bathrooms to share (one of which has a water heater). Bikes and motorbikes are for rent. Every room also has a TV. And there is internet available on the main floor.
Phichet also manages the student residence next door which has more rooms (8) available when students are on holidays (smaller beds but cheaper) (avail. March, April and May). Phichet and his wife have lived in Ubon for 30 years and have been very hospitable towards me during my stay. The area is quiet and really feels like a homestay rather than a busy hotel.
Room rates
Student rooms (avail. Mar/apr/may) = 100 Baht
Rooms w/ Fan = 200 Baht
Room w/ airconditioning = 300
