Hey all

My names Chris and im a 28 yr old Aussie starting my RTW on Jan 5th 2011, I'm looking to spend between 8-10 months in SEA starting in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Jan 5th, I have a rough itinerary but it is open to change depending on the situation.

Looking to start in Vietnam doing a south to north trek the month of January before moving onto Laos going from Luang Prabang south to Champasak the month of February before crossing over to Cambodia in March spend 4 weeks moving from Stung Treng to Phnom Penh onto Siem Reap.
April and May will be spent in Thailand 1 month traveling north from Bangkok to Chang Rai and back and one month heading south doing some island hopping before i head to Malaysia in June.
Spend a few weeks in Malaysia traveling from Kota Baharu to the Perhentians onto KL before possibly crossing over to Sabah / Sarawak late June from there i would cross into Indonesia spending most of July island hopping before making the decision whether to stay on in Indonesia or cross over to the Philippines for July /August. Then back home to Australia August /September.

I haven't put Myanmar or India into the trip but as i said above im pretty open and flexible with the itinerary. I'm looking to do this on a budget of around $1000 AUD a month, now i can do this all solo as i have experience traveling on my own through Australia and New Zealand but am open for companions during any part of my trip, especially to some of the more remote areas.
