Hi all!
I'm a 23 year old female, hitting Thailand at the start of July for a month. It's my first time travelling and currently I am flying solo! Anyone travelling at the same time? I have no specific plans but would like to see some of the islands, do the whole sightseeing thing, some trekking, beaches, partying and of course relaxing too!

Going SE Asia for 3 months from start of May with 2 mates and don't really know what we're doing except the full moon party and 2 weeks in Bali at the end of June, we thought its best to just go with it as plans will probably change when we get there anyway!
We're you gonna book accommodation for the full moon before you go? You have facebook??

That's probably the best idea! Just now I haven't booked any accommodation as like yourself I'll be playing everything by ear but most definitley want to hit the full moon party!

Hey xiaohan! Have you got anything booked yet? I will arrive in Bangokok on July 2nd and plan on staying for a day or two before heading either north or south!
That's a lot of places to cover in 3 weeks, are you arranging all your intinenary before you go?

I haven't booked my ticket yet, because I'm trying to figure the exact return date. I plan to book all the flights before I go. I have friends in Sinapore and Taiwan...so I will only plan things out for Thailand and Bali. I might take Koh Phi Phi or Bali out of because they might be similar. I heard for bangkok, 4 days is enough, Koh Phiphi ...3 days....Singapore (4 or 5 days)..Bali(4 days).Taiwan(5 days) 3 weeks is an estimation, my vacation is semi flexible. The only thing that I know for sure at this point is that my job ends june 29th.

Sounds like an amazing trip and you're very lucky to have friends in Singapore and Taiwan!
Where are you from? I have only booked my flights out to Thailand and Back home from there too but I'm pretty flexible about what I'll be doing in between! I have 4 weeks to travel around so I'd like to take in quite a lot of Thailand and maybe do a trip to Camobodia too. I guess I'll pretty much wait and see what happens! Let me know when you book if you fancy hooking up in Bangkok for a few days!

Hi I am a 20 year old Female from the UK. I am currently studying for 3 months in Zhengzhou, China and at the end of it (having had enough of China) i was thinking about going to Thailand on my own or possibly meeting 2 girl friends from home there. Little nervous if i were to travel on my own though! What you plan sounds great, travel, beach it up, touristy things and partying (Full Moon on the 17th sounds amazing!) i would be there from 30th June to 21st July. Should be booking my flight this week.

Hey momalley! WOW studying in China sounds pretty amazing! Where about in the UK are you from? I'd be more than happy to hook up and share some adventures as like you I'm a little nervous about travelling solo! I arrive in Bangkok on the 2nd of July and plan on staying there for only a day or two until I organise where to go next! Let me know what your plans are and we can maybe arrange to meet?!

Hi everybody,i'm 51yr old male from Malaysia,i use to travel very often,especially with my bike,just came back from Krabi last week.I haven't try as a backpacker to travel around,so i decided to have once.......i'm chinese,able to speak a little thai.......i suggest u all arrive Hatyai then Trang,Krabi,Koh Lantar,Phuket,Koh Phi Phi and others beaches as well,if u r a budget traveller,it really worth it.As i realized that in July is a low peak season till Nov.Hope can join u all.............

Hello again. I'm from Edinburgh, Scotland, where are you from? I just booked my flight today!! 26th june-21st July. Luckily two of my girl flatmates who are 20/21 are meeting me in Bangkok on the 26th! All three of us are all nice, social girls
We are doing the half moon party on the 8th etc.. and traveling around, so if you fancy meeting up that would be cool. I'll be flying solo from the 15th just till the 21st, not sure what to do! but keep posted if you make any solid plans and likewise for me.

Ha ha, I can't believe that, I am from Edinburgh also!! Small world!! That's great you have your flights booked and your friends are going to meet you there! I'm thinking of hitting the north (chaing mai) after my initial day or two in bangkok and staying in that area for 5 days or so before going back to bangkok for a flight to Phuket, from there I plan on doing some of the islands and going to Koh Phangan for the full moon party on the 17th. I imagine I'll probably arrive there on the 15th and stay for around 5 days!
I'm getting excited about it all now but I should really start getting some things organised!!
Tantan, when are you heading back out to Thailand and how was your adventure?

ahhh! thats crazy! did you study in Edinburgh at all?? Well,thanks for your replied Flounda23.May be in July i'm going to Phuket,heard that you
'll arrive Bangkok on 2nd July,so are you going to Chiangmai or Phuket?My idea is that you've better go around some islands that i had mentioned before,so u can save a lot of unnecessary costs.I'd planed an itinerary that from Phuket--Krabi--Koh Phi Phi--Koh Lantar..(bus/van and boat),as Koh Samui,Koh Phangan(fullmoon party) located at South China Sea.We can take the route to Hatyai(big city in southern Thailand) after coming back from Krabi.You can take a minivan from Hatyai to Koh Samui(by ferry) then book the ticket for the (FM party)by ferry again to Koh Phangan.

Hi guys realise this post is quite late! I'm also a girl travelling in Thailand at the minute. In Bangkok now, but wanting to make my way to the islands in te next day or two...perhaps for full moon if it works out, but haven't booked anythIng as yet. Playing everything by ear!! Just back from change mai which was amazing but would love some company to party it up on the islands before heading home on the 19th. Been away for 6 months and want to go home on a high note! If anybod you are thinking of doing the same gimme a shout back sure.
