Get me out of here!
A friend of mine spent six months trekking around India and has inspired me to get out and have an adventure of my own. I plan on landing in Bangkok around Oct 1st and plan on staying till late December when I'm gonna fly to Germany to meet up with some friends for New Years. I'm tired of waiting around for someone to go with so I'm just gonna head out. I have no set plan on where to go but I know I want to hop around Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and possibly Vietnam if I find time.
As a 23/f, I'm a little nervous about those first few weeks and would love to meet up with some laid-back people. Please, let me know if you'll be around or any hints on which hostels in Bangkok are good for meeting up with fellow travelers!

hey i arrive on the 28th of September in Bangkok where ill be spending a few weeks i guess b4 moving on to cambodia or laos or somewhere. its my first time too so equally as nervous lol keep in touch on here/facebook if u like and ill let u know if i find some good spots/hostels or a good bar to chill out in. good luck on your journey

hey jamie i will reach bkk on 1st october too have plans for koh tao and do scuba diving course......i will be there for a week and might attend the half moon party....let me know if we can meet....

Kho Tao is actually the first place I was thinking of heading to after Bangkok. Do you know where you're gonna stay there or where do to the lessons?

i've been talking to the guys at Master Divers, they are one of the best for diving in koh tao. They can even arrange rooms at reasonable price, though i am still to make a booking with them but they look good....if you are sure about your plans and wanna join in please get in touch with me at nagyrocks@gmail.com

pretty much anywhere on Khoa San, you are going to find plenty of people who are probably doing similar things. I'll probably be in Burma until about that time and landing back in Bangkok. I heard that the King's bday is oct. 5, so if you hang out in Bangkok it could be fun!

Hey guys,
Globalgypsy I'll be landing in Hanoi on the 26th and doing something very similar. Have until the 14th of December when I fly out of Bangkok. If you're still looking for travel buddies I'm sure we could meet up at some point.
I'm a 26 year old American dude that just finished up teaching in Seoul, traveling for 5 months. Just finished 3 weeks in India and a month in Nepal, about to head back to India for another 3 weeks before SE Asia. Let me know!
