South East Asia - Dec & Jan
Heylo folks, am starting my backpacking tour of SEA from Singapore in the first week of December. Am travelling solo as of now, so happy to meet up with fellow travellers and make new friends. Always more fun when there is someone cool to share stories and experiences with.
I don't care if you're a boy or a girl, am looking for fun peeps with a sense of adventure - with a cool & mature head on their shoulders at the same time (read: no jumping off bridges with your hair on fire)
I am from London, visiting family in India (Chennai) these days. Planning to fly out to Singapore in the first week of December (will book tickets next week - 5th Nov). Keep my suitcase in a relative or friend's house and go on a backpacking trip across South East Asia:
beginning with two weeks in Singapore/Malaysia,
one week learning to dive in Koh Tao (3rd week of Dec),
one week FMP reservation on Koh Phangan (New Year Party)
and then into Thailand->Laos->Vietnam->Cambodia->
back to Singapore to pick up my luggage end of Jan/early Feb
and fly out to New Zealand for a working holiday.
If this sounds like something you would like to do (and maybe already are doing), write in and let's see if we can meet up part of the way.
Like I said, it's always way more fun when there is someone cool to share stories and experiences with.

Here's a map of what my trip looks like.
"Fixed" dates of the trip:
Arriving in Singapore 5th December.
Penang to Chumphon international express train: 18th December
Koh Tao Diving: 19th to 26th December
Koh Phangan NYE FMP hotel room booking: 26th December to 2nd January
Bangkok to Chiang Mai overnight sleeper booking: 3rd January (TBC)
Vientiane to Bangkok overnight sleeper train: TBC
Hue to Hanoi overnight sleeper train: TBC
Hanoi to Singapore flight: TBC - sometime in mid to late February
There are the only "fixed" travel times. All other times, we see how it goes and how much time we want to spend where. Didn't want to take a chance with train and flight bookings not being available so just booking the overnight journeys up. Will work the rest of the holiday around those dates.
