Right, off on my first SE Asia trip at the end of June for roughly 6 weeks (doing Oz at the end afterwards)
Thailand, Cambodia and Malaysia, no specific route, Im very flexible.
Sightseeing, relaxation, and LOTS of partying is on my agenda, I want to make the most of this trip!

As it is my first time, I'm a bit apprehensive about being on my own so it would be cool to get in contact with anyone there at the same time, whether they would be a fellow first timer or a seasoned pro!

Im a 25 yr old male, really easy to get along with and up for meeting pretty much anyone.

Hi sidewinder,

I arrive in SE Asia on June 25 and will be there for about 5-6 weeks. Here's my itinerary thus far:

1. Hong Kong June 24 - July 2
2. Malaysia (Penang) July 2 - 6; Kuala Lumpur Jul 7 - 8
3. Singapore July 9 - 13
4. Cambodia (Siem Reap) July 14 - 17 (Phnom Penh) July 18 - 20
5. Vietnam (HCMC) July 21 - 24...
and from there no plans really. Deciding how much I want to have planned before I jet off. Would like to keep heading north thru Vietnam (Hoi An, Hue) reaching Hanoi around the 27th or 28th, cross over to Laos to see Luang Prabang and Vientiane and catching an international flight to Europe around August 3/4.

Hi there,
I'm in Thailand at the mo (been here just over 3 weeks). I wasn't worried about traveling alon at all coz of all the good things peeps had said, but I'm actually finding it quite difficult alone!
I'm planning a similar trip to you. Currently on the island of Koh Samui but looking into Chiang Mai or Koh Phangan perhaps for full moon party (less for the drinking but hoping that I would meet some others there!!)? Would love to meet up with you if your still looking for a buddie :)

Ah Jenny dont say that, worries me when I hear that!!

Read your other post, that is a real shame, sorry you're not enjoying it that much. Assumed there would be loads of people around this time of year but perhaps not?!

Remember its still a beautiful place to be...though you're probably not seeing that if you feel lonely :(

If you're still there when I get there, we can meet up, no problem at all!

im 19 and up for seeing the culture and crazy stuff in asia
