Hi, I'm arriving in Tokyo on Monday, February 6th, en route to Bangkok. I was able to get a really good deal from the States over to Japan, but I have yet to find anything promising from Tokyo to Bangkok. My plan is to spend four to six weeks in Thailand, mostly Koh Tao, and then travel to Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia before returning home.
That being said, can anyone recommend an airline/operator out of Japan, and would it make more sense to buy an Asia pass than trying to do the one-way and surface connection thing.

I just booked a heck of a deal from Tokyo to Bangkok (April 1 - 30) with United for $363. Not sure how long the sale is happening but get it while it lasts.
