Hi!
I bought the "Rough Guide" which has a lot of information, including History of each place which is very good. However in terms of practical information you should get "Travelfish" as it is concise and has all the essential information needed, much more enlightning than RG (mainly regarding places to sleep).

i'm looking for a good guide book to get me across SouthEast Asia.
but wasn't sure in which one to get.. so far i've seen
Southeast Asia: On a Shoestring by Lonely Planet..
would really appreciate some help
