Cholera and doxycycline

  • Ross89

    Hello fellow travellers...

I just have a quick question!

Im travelling around most of southeast asia and have been informed that i will need to be vaccinated for cholera and many others.

I will be using doxycline for malaria and have read that doxycycline is used to treat cholera so do i really need to be vaccinated for it as im going to be using doxycline throughout my time there and 28 days after.

    Your thoughts?

    Ross

    Hi Ross,

I would ask more questions about the malaria prophylaxis. The risks of contracting malaria vary. If you are going to low risk areas, you might want to talk about with your doctor.

The one thing you should be vacinated for they don't have. The most dangerous mosquito known to man. The SE Asian bar girl.
