Hi Guys,

I usually only read posts on this forum and I scanned the whole of it in search to get the answer to what I'm looking for. I found a lot of helpful stuff but not exactly what I need
Me and my husband are going on a long trip which we plan to begin in SEA. We already started with vaccine injections but when we heard the price for JE (Ixario) I asked a friend who lives in Taiwan and she said it's worth for voluntary work in rural area (our plan too) but there is another vaccine for JE not allowed in Europe that we can get in Asia and is as effective as Ixario. And so much cheaper!
Also we wanted to take off to Malaysia in July but the last shot/booster for Hep A+B is set by the travel doctor in Poland for mid August. I thought this one we could also take in Asia.
Basically my question is - can you recommend a place where we can get those injections in KL? I found a clinic in Thailand/Bangkok and I know from this forum it's possible to get it in Hong Kong, but as we head to Malaysia I don't want to travel to Thailand in wet season just for vaccination...And waiting 2 months in Europe instead of having great time in Malaysia, well not really an option.
Also - does anyone know about how is Ixario versus this new JE SA-14-14-2 safe? I've heard from travel doctor here Ixario is even safer, but at the same time - it's only given to adults and the one available in Asia is set for kids down to 1 yr olds, so it must be safer, right?
Sorry for all those questions but such a long journey requires a lot of thinking and I thought I really can use some help/advice here
Thanks,

Personally, I've never bothered getting the JE vaccine, and I've been to SEA 5X.
