I hate to be a baby, but I'm getting concerned about the insect situation in Cambodia. I grew up in the tropics so I'm used to my share of cockroaches, crickets, etc. but I've been reading about SWARMS of nasty insects - even in the hotel rooms. How bad is it? I need to mentally prepare...

Just bring immediate remedy -> your insect bites first aid kit. And of course a complete list of clinics or hospitals addresses in case of severe bites...

i was there in April and don't remember swarms of any insects, just buckets of them in the markets

The center for disease control site is pretty good and has good recommendations for insect protection
