I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience using filter water bottles in South East Asia?

I haven't personally used one as bottled water is easily purchased just about anywhere in the region and is very cheap, but I've met other travellers who have happily bean drinking filtered tap water throughout their trip.

It's a great way to cut down on using plastic bottles.
