Travel Insurance

    I just saw the ad on the members' page for World Nomads travel insurance. Looking at their website I realised you can't take out insurance with them if you don't live in the UK, AUS, NZ or US. I live in Ireland - can anyone recommend cheap travel insurance for me? I am covered for health insurance and am really only looking for luggage (camera, iPod, etc). Does this make sense?

    Hi Danka,

    I emailed World Nomads about this some time ago and they said other countries were being added, but it doesn't appear to have happened yet. It is probably worth noting that being from Ireland you can still buy a policy if you're planning on travelling to Australia or New Zealand -- this would be difficult to police/enforce from their point of view...

    Personally I can't recommend another as WorldNomads is the only insurer I've used (and continue to use) in eons.
