I have just been checking the nomads travel insurance on this site against the policy I got from my travel agent. Don't, whatever you do, get the insurance from the agent. Mine is $268 for 40 days and the nomads one is $164. That $104 works out at an extra $THB85 per day, meaning a better guesthouse or 2 extra meals a day. The same goes for extended visas. If you can, try and extend your visa when you are in Thailand by skipping to Laos, Cambodia or Malaysia for a day while you are in Thailand.
