Great news for Kiwi's - and anyone else planning on including NZ on their itinerary. Air Asia X will soon be flying between Christchurch - KL, starting in March/April next year. Tickets expected to sell for less than NZ$200 when they go on sale this Friday.
I got two dirt-cheap fares a few weeks ago when Air Asia gave away tickets, and I was just holding out for this announcement. This is awesome news - SE Asia just got a whole lot closer!

Information posted yesterday was from a press release in the NZ Herald. Just received an email from Air Asia - and it looks like their introductory fares will be as low as NZ$99 tomorrow. I'd be lucky to score a 1-hour domestic flight within for $99 much less get one from here to KL!
Yay - bring it on!!
