VietNam: Public Access WiFi

    There are many 'free' public access points in VietNam such as in KFC-Kentucky Fried Chicken, Highlands Coffee, Pho 24, etc which are often supplied through FTP Telecom.

    Unfortunately, many staff at outlets do not know much about these systems and in particular, the user name and password.

    The default Username and Password for FTP Telecom public access points are Username=FTP and Password=Telecom.

    Hopefully forum members will play fair and sponsor these organisations who are thoughtful enough to provide these conveniences.

    Yes they are very good for casual access in the big cities, you do have to reconnect every hour or so of continuous use if memory serves and download rates were capped at about 25k a second but genuinely a fantastic service.
