    The keen-eyed will have noticed a new tab up on the navigation bar titled "Film" -- it's a new film/travel video section where each and every Monday morning we'll be adding a travel video filmed by a traveller to Southeast Asia.

    The idea is just to showcase some of the great videos people are putting together -- and to get your feet itching while we're at it :)

    If you've got a video you'd like to have considered (we intent to only post one per week), please feel free to contact us directly or just post the link (Vimeo and Youtube are preferred) below and we'll check it out.

    So, put your feet up and enjoy the show!

    We`ve done this video exclusively for the purpose of Creative Exchange photography meet-up that was held in Skopje, Macedonia last November. One of their requirements was to include some background as well as how we decided to pack backpacks, leave everything and go to explore the world, so if necessary, it`s possible to remove the first few minutes and make a shorter version that covers just the trip in SE Asia.

    video - https://vimeo.com/54211910

    Another video that shows movement/transportation through SE Asia - https://vimeo.com/53093707

    Short video/slideshow on illegal cock fighting in Bali, Indonesia - Into the Ring - https://vimeo.com/47807934

    All movies are from 2012.

    Best Regards,

    "A Banana Pancake Trail"
    [url=https://vimeo.com/jdevnani/bananapancake]https://vimeo.com/jdevnani/bananapancake

    Although "the trail" is crossed by thousands of travelers each year, and due to this, many criticize the lack of cultural authenticity in South East Asia, I still feel that it provides a transformational and eye-opening experience. This film aims to showcase the uniqueness of this part of the world, and allows for those who have done "the trail" to reminisce of their own experiences.

    Hello!

    This is Mike from "Sweet Spot". I've got a new travel film trailer. It's from a recent trip to India, so it might be outside Travelfish's realm of interest but you might enjoy it anyways.

    Thanks again for all your support. "Sweet Spot" got thousands of views with your help.

    We shot these videos last August and set up this YouTube channel a few months later, [url=http://www.youtube.com/user/MaritimeMysteries]http://www.youtube.com/user/MaritimeMysteries. It includes a sizzle reel and playlists on what we are doing at this location. Most of this concerns the salvaging of artefacts from the British cargo vessel, the Viscount Melbourne, for an eventual maritime museum in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. The ship ran aground on a reef in the South Luconia Shoals, in the South China Sea, late December, 1841. Australians, Hans and Roz Berekoven found the wreak and receive permission to retrieve the artefacts from the Malaysian government but it has been a long and slow process with the ship lying 40 meters below the surface and the trip to the reef taking up to 17 hours from where their vessel is moored in Miri. I am in touch with the Berekoven's almost every week and I hope to make it out there again this year. There is still much work to be done on the artefacts and we still need to investigate an anomaly that we discovered near there. I hope you enjoy the videos and welcome your comments. You can reach me at cwterry5@gmail.com.

    Not my own, and (unfortunately) sponsored by a travel company, but this is a beautiful (& tasty) video of Vietnam, and they have many others :) Check them out!
