Hello,
We are trying to organise ourselves for our holiday in March. We are catching the train from Bangkok to Changmai and spending a few days there and we then want to move onto Hanoi. - Does anyone know any flights that do this - or if we go through laos the best way to get into laos from there and then onto Vientiane airport?? we will then travel from hanoi to Saigon through Cambodai back to bangkok - so any other advice would be welcome.

One option is to fly from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang and then onwards from there to Hanoi -- that way you don't need to bother with Vientiane .
