2.5 months Thailand/ Malaysia / Indonesia

  • Andy1982

    Hi everybody,

We are planning our trip to Thailand / Malaysia / Indonesia. We have about 2.5 months to do the trip (June-mid August)
And we still need some advice:

We are planning to go to Thailand first (Bangkok), stay there some days, travel down to Koh Samui, Ko Tao and Ko Pha-Ngan. Fly to Chiang Mai to see the north and then back to Bangkok.
From Bangkok we would like to fly to Bali and see Indonesia- traveling towards Jakarta and fly from there to Kuala Lumpur, see Malaysia and afterwards fly back home from Singapore.

    Now, the questions:
First of all do you think 2.5 months will be enough time to do a trip like that? Is it too much or could we do a bit more? Borneo would be also interesting!

There will be some flights (e.g. from Koh Samui to Chiang Mai etc.) would you pre-book the flights or do you think it's ok to book them when we are there?! (money?!)

Any general tips how we could optimize our trip?

    Thanks in advance!

    Andy
