Has anyone done one of these? Was it worthwhile? We thought it might be a fun way to cross the border from Vietnam into Cambodia. If anyone has any recommendations or advice it would be greatly appreciated. We are on a fairly long holiday with a strictish budget so an idea of price would also be appreciated. Thanks for any help!

The regular passenger boats run from Chau Doc in Vietnam to Phnom Penh - it is a beautiful trip and I highly recommend it. I can't remember the price off the top of my head but would guess $20-30 per person.
You can to Chau Doc from Saigon by bus direct or can hop through a few Mekong Delta towns along the way.
Have fun!

Hi there
Travel by boat from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh takes 5 to 7 hours (depending on the boat you chose and the tide). Normally, tourists avoid to travel in April ( the hottest season in Cambodia). The fare ranged from $22 to $ 55 per ticket.
Travel by bus from HCMC to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap but As I know so far, you have to buy full – package. They don’t sell the bus ticket separately. Hope information can help you
