Looking for a minsk in saigon

Hey everyone,
I just arrived in Saigon and would like to buy a minsk.
on this and other forums i see people offering theirs between 250 and 400.
unfortunately they're all old adverts.
Does anyone have one for sale or know a decent shop to go to (if one exists)?

Have you watched "top gear in Vietnam " . that is hilarious. do you want to do the same too. Mind you that minsk can break without any warning, unless you know what you are doing!. there are number of motorcycling shop near New world Hotel in Saigon.

I've bought my bike from a Vietnamese mechanic named Danh, he buys and sells minsks in Saigon.
He gave me a really good price for a really nice machine. Engine was rebuilt, new lick of paint and extra tools and parts (some parts are more likely to brake, like the electric box). He even did some extra work on it when I came back with some small remarks after I took a 300+km ride.
I recommend anyone interested in driving a minsk from Saigon to anywhere to contact him.

We have two Minsks for sale ($350 each), in case the OP or anyone else is interested. We've been riding them in Vietnam for 7 weeks and have reached some amazing places (forget about the Top Gear ride, they've missed the best bits). Motorbike are the best way to travel in Vietnam! These Minsks have been overhauled and tested on a 130 km trip. Both work better then when we bought them so we are selling them with confidence that you will have a great time riding them and they will not let you down.

The Minsks come with the legal papers, toolkit, locks, service manual, maps, helmet, jacket, raincoat, some spare parts (electric box, clutch/accelerator/brake cables, sparks plugs) etc. We will be happy to provide you with travels tips, introduction to basic repairs, and guidance on typical costs during your journey.

My friend and I are very interested in your two bikes. We will be in Saigon on the 25th in the late afternoon and hope to pick up two Mminsks as soon as possible to ride Hanoi. If by any chance you still have these wonderful looking bikes, we would love to come check them out on the 26th.

If you are in Saigon and are looking for a used Minsk, you can always find some for sale on Pham Ngu Lao/ Bui Vien streets (back packer area). This is an easy option for travelers. Don't forget to get a driver's license!!
